Richard E. Bechtel PALMYRA Richard E. Bechtel, 70, of 110 Horseshoe Trail Lane, Palmyra died Sunday, March 31, 2013, in his residence. He was the husband of Wanda L. Cole Bechtel with whom he would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this December. Born in Hershey on February 22, 1943, he was the son of the late Paul and Frances Becker Bechtel. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel, Steelton. Richard was a U.S. Navy Veteran of Vietnam, a graduate of Hershey High School, a member of the Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Company, Palmyra Citizens Fire Company, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sisters, Pauline Nessinger of Hummelstown and Doris wife of Vernon Witmer of Elizabethtown. Memorial services will be held on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. from the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main St., Annville. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
