Robert Dabashinsky Obituary

Robert J. Dabashinsky, 71, Bethel, died Friday, April 17, 2009, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Fay L. Smith Dabashinsky, with whom he would have celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary in June. He was born in Pottsville on November 9, 1937, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Mustich Dabashinsky. He was a veteran, having proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired supervisor for Pepsi-Cola, Reading, with over 20 years of service. He was a member of the Blue Mountain View Golf course, and the Rehrersburg and Bethel fire companies. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, John, and wife Donna Dabashinsky of Schuylkill Haven; godson John R. Dabashinsky; brother-inlaw Ronald and wife Shirley Smith of Fredericksburg; also numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Dabashinsky. Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., in the Rohland Funeral Home, Fifth and Cumberland streets, Lebanon. Interment will be made in Wolf's Union Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 10 a.m. to the time of service in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.

Dear Fay,
May God be with you in this time of sorrow and may your wonderful memories of the life you and Bob shared bring you comfort. Bob was a great guy and everyone will miss him beyond words. Know that Bob is at peace in God's loving embrace and one sweet day you will meet again. Our hearts go out to you now and we are keeping you in our prayers in the days ahead.
