Ruth Rausch Obituary

Ruth E. Rausch PALMYRA Ruth E. (Deaven) Rausch, 90, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Henry A. Rausch. She was born Tuesday, October 28, 1924, in Greenpoint, to the late Joseph and Sarah (Bucher) Deaven. Ruth was a faithful member of Palm Lutheran Church and was part of their women's quilting group. She enjoyed the outdoors as an avid camper and a joyful gardener. She is survived by two stepsons, Robert L. Rausch, and Henry J. Rausch and wife, Bonnie; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Susan Rausch; and four siblings, Harold, Norman, Esther, and Verna. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 12, at noon at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra 17078 with the Rev. Dr. John D. Merkel officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 11 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to Palm Lutheran Church, 11 W. Cherry St., Palmyra, PA 17078. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.rothermelfuneralhome.com
