Stephen D. Poole

Stephen D. Poole MECHANICSBURG Stephen D. Poole, 54, of 465 Delancey Court, Mechanicsburg, passed away Tuesday, December 18, in Holy Spirit Hospital. Born December 3, 1952, in Bangor, Maine. He was born to the late Ralph Poole and Thelma Smith Poole of Lebanon. Graduate of Cedar Crest High School, where he was a member of the band. He attended the Penn State University and played in the Blue & White Marching Band and a former member of the Penn State Swim Team. He was a former member of the singing group "Up With People." Employed with Computer Aid Inc. of Harrisburg. Member of the St. Michaels Reformed Episcopal Church, Enola. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Gege G. McFarland; and his son David M. Poole of Mechanicsburg; three brothers, Michael of Ohio, William and Randal of Lebanon; and his sister Doris Poole of Virginia. Memorial & Community Remembrance Service will be held Sunday, December 30, at 10 a.m. in his church at 1825 Good Hope Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 with the Rev. Father Donald L. March officiating. Cremation and interment will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to his church. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA 17065.
