Barbara Gross Obituary
Born November 19, 1955, in Norwalk, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Russell G. and Grace (Grimm) Gopp.
Barbara was a nurse with home healthcare, but her greatest job was being a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
She attended the Old Mahoning Baptist Church.
She married Thomas E. Gross on August 3, 1981. He survives. She is also survived by eight children, Chris Deppen of Jacobus, Chad Deppen of Bradenton, Fla., David Deppen of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dennis Deppen of Riverview, Fla., Thomas C. Gross of Shrewsbury, Eric Gross of Youngstown, Ohio., T. J. Gross of Hubbard, Ohio and Nathan Hasty of Franklin; 14 grandchildren; and a sister, Claire Cowfer of Wadsworth, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jason Deppen; and two brothers, Thomas Gopp and Russell Gopp.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Old Mahoning Baptist Church.
The funeral will follow at the church at 2 p.m., with Pastor Ross Bailey officiating.
Interment will be in the Old Mahoning Baptist Cemetery.
Flowers may be sent to the church at 5225 Mahoning Road, Home, PA 15747.
Arrangements are at the direction of the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.
