Donnie is in some of my favorite memories while growing up in Huey.I remember the memorable fun times we had when mom and I would visit with Aunt Sis and Donnie. He had great character along with a a personality that could always make me laugh. Donnie was well loved and respected and I will miss him greatly. My deepest sympathy to to all the family.

To a wonderful uncle, you will be greatly missed. I will always treasure those memories of when I was a child and our many visits to Huey. I can remember when we would come to visit on those warm summer days. You were always sitting on the porch on that old white swing and you would ask us (kids) to come swing with you .. or sit with you and we sit there for hours and hanging out with you. You telling us stories about our great grandparents and our familys history ... I was always in such awe .. This is just one of many precious memories. I will always cherish. I am truly grateful that I can call you my Uncle Donnie. I hope the angles are enjoying your accordion music :-) ❤

I didn't know Don or any family members, but when I saw he was from Huey I had to write. My father's family, (Fiorina) and his cousins (Divens) and my husband's great and grandparents (Piles) and (Vogels) all lived in Huey. I spent many days there as a child, going to the Huey Post Office for a candy! We even knew the Kriebles (Thelma) . It's a small world and was just thinking maybe our families crossed paths! You have my deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Denise Fiorina Brzezinski....Vandergrift Pa.

Dear Uncle Donnie~i will forever be grateful you were my dads twin brother. Before i became iill 5 years ago. We were able to see each other quite regularly. How can i put into brief words the love i hold in my heart for you? Often you were like a second dad to me. Your work ethic
highly commendable. I remember crossIng paths w/you at Clarion University while i studied there. You were the head Chef and your acquintances knew you by name and with ease & respect greeted you ; before you would see them.
You were always so good to help grandma after grandpa died and provide her with beautiful flower gardens and landscaping. You kept the house spotless inside & out. I will always remember the last sit down meal w/you when Aunt Marlis & Aunt Marlene came to spend a week to clean & visit .We
You had away of making us smile at the most simplistic things. You were a m cook and thanks to you i cannot leave a room without going back and making sure i leave it t Even at age 86 Your Gone too soon....see you there~~

Dearest Uncle Donnie,

You will be missed. My life brought many miles between us; but I/we always thought and spoke dearly of you. As a child, and to this day, I can remember the brown sandwich bags full of assorted candy, you seemingly always had for us, when we visited. Your wearing of Old Spice, English leather, and always having your summer shoes by back porch, neatly displayed. This a wonderment to young boy, such that I was then. You always sharing different foods and recipes with my mom, especially pickles, pickled peppers, and assorted breads. I can remember your beautiful flowers and well kept yard. I wish I couldve known you better, and for that I am with regret. Even though years have passed, I did enjoy our last sit down meal together! You made a difference in my life Uncle Donnie, and I will always feel your kind spirit. Heaven has gained a wonderful man.

My son and I visited Don at the home many times. He was a little lost in the past at times, but we talked older family and he always seemed to know and care about them. I will miss this kind man.

Don was one of my ALLTIME favorite clients to transport to Dr. appointments. I always thought fondly of him and always new he was a good man for his love of dogs.. Him and I would laugh and talk always when together. The Heavens just gained a very happy loving man and the earth lost him, but was blessed to have had him for the time we did. You and I will be neighbors at Cedarview someday, Don!! I can hear you now.. Well stop in and Say HELLO!! and then you would chuckle... RIP..

So many memories from when we were young! Donnie would go to church, after church, we would gather at our kitchen table for onion sandwiches with crackers or home made bread. Why do we have to lose someone for these memories to appear? Donnie was a good man, he took such good care of his Mom. Distance kept us from being close when we got older but those memories..so precious! God bless Donnie's family and prayers for comfort.
