Ronald Willison Obituary
Born November 16, 1940 in St. Charles, Armstrong County, he was a son of the late Reed Willison and Louise Painter Willison.
He graduated from Redbank Valley High School and loved photography.
Ron was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a lithographer for the CIA for 10 years.
Upon his return to the area, he became the sports editor for The Leader-Vindicator until retiring.
Survivors include a brother, Jonathan (Barbara) Willison of Front Royal, Va.; two sisters, Karen Darlene Willison of St. Charles and Sherri (John) Morris of Sligo; nephew, Scott and his children, Owen, Ethan, Olivia and Emmy; nephew, Christopher and his daughter, Cienna; niece, Kelly, her husband Eric, and son Jaxon; niece, Kaitlin; nephew, Matt, his wife, Lisa, and children, Carter and Crosby; nephew, Danny; and nephew, Corey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael; sister, Donna; and niece, Janice.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Rupert Funeral Home and Cremation Service chapel, located at 233 Penn Street in New Bethlehem.
Interment will take place in the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville on Wednesday, July 3.
