Ruby Bailey Obituary
She was born on July 4, 1928, to Daniel and Lucy May (Shankle) McGregor in Oak Ridge.
She was a member of the Putneyville Methodist Church. She worked at Rolo Jensen in Punxsutawney and Sylvania in Brookville.
Ruby loved raising her family and was an extremely good housekeeper. One of her favorite hobbies was making sure her house was clean and tidy.
She is survived by three children, Patricia L. Pickens of Sharon, William A. Bailey and wife. Kathy, pf Rochester Mills, and Lindon L. Bailey and wife, Angie, of New Bethlehem; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard A. "Ben" Bailey in 1995; a great-great-grandson, Tucker; a son-in-law, George Pickens; five brothers; and two sisters.
Friends will be received on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.
Burial will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Pat, Bill, and Luke, My heart breaks to hear about Aunt Ruby´s death. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. It was because of your mom and dad that I am the Christian I am today. When my mom and dad didn´t got to church, when I was a little girl, they made sure I was in church and Bible school at the little white church on the hill. I will always be grateful for that.
