William E. "Bill" Zamperini

1962 - 2025

William E. "Bill" Zamperini, 63, of New Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday morning, November 25, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born June 2, 1962, in Brookville, he was the son of Marvin V. and Betty A. (Brenneman) Zamperini.

Bill worked as a carpenter in construction, at the game farm in Distant and as a maintenance man for Valley Advantages.

He attended the Oakland Church of God in Distant.

Bill was a member of the VFW and Moose of New Bethlehem and Seminole Rod and Gun Club.

He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and an avid golfer. He enjoyed hunting and hanging out with his family and his dog, Misty.

Bill married Janis "Jan" (Sloan) Zamperini of Fairmount City on October 12, 1985. She survives.

He is also survived by three children, Kylie Koll and her husband, Nick, of Wexford, Chase Zamperini and his girlfriend, Kendal Shaffer, of Fairmount City and Logan Zamperini and his girlfriend, Emily Saylor, of Hampton; two grandchildren, Luca and Isabella; his mother, Betty Zamperini of Worthington; a brother, John Zamperini and his wife, Deb, of Huey; and a sister, Brenda Shick and her husband, Glenn, of Oak Ridge.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Zamperini.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alcorn Funeral Home, P.O. Box 244, Hawthorn, PA 16230 to help with funeral expenses.
