Leroy Franke Obituary
Leroy graduated from Madison East High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1958-1962. He married Joyce Grob on Dec. 9, 1961, at Hope Lutheran Church. He was a father to three wonderful sons, all of whom attended Monona Grove Schools.
Leroy worked as a newspaper pressman for Madison Newspapers for 44 years retiring in 2003. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 248. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at the cabin up north near the Town of Barnes.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Joyce; sons, Scott (Laurie) Franke, Dale (Lisa) Franke and Todd (Tracy) Franke; sister, Verda Hesse; wonderful grandchildren, Melissa (Zack) Reithmeyer, Lauren Franke (Bill Gross), Paul Franke, Lee Franke, Darbie (Joe) Root, Rowan Franke and Dylan Drinkwater; and several great-grandbabies. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Luita Franke; and one brother and one sister.
Per Leroy's wishes there will be no formal services. He was a wonderful loving man.
