Marguerite Rose (Marguerite Diaz) "Margy" Wood New Port Richey, FL - Marguerite Rose Wood (Diaz) passed away suddenly on May 10, 2024. Margy was 29 years old and residing in New Port Richey Florida. Margy was born in Arlington Heights Illinois and lived there until she was 4 when the family moved to Lake Mills WI. Margy excelled in school and was an honors student, earning an academic letter at Lake Mills High School. One of her favorite high school experiences was performing in "Les Misérables." She completed an associate degree from Madison College where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa honors. As a young girl, Margy was a competitive figure skater. She was a strong athlete with a natural grace capturing many gold medals. She also competed in track and field. Margy loved to draw and appreciated art. Her favorite artist was Picasso. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved karaoke. She enjoyed music and was a frequent concert goer. Margy moved to Florida in 2017. There she met and married Kyle Wood, the love of her life. She was employed by Bank of America, Tampa Florida. Margy was a girl who loved to have fun and could light up any room she entered. She loved comedy and could often be heard quoting lines from her favorite show "The Office". She had a way of making friends wherever she went. Margy was a compassionate friend, and she was gifted in the art of listening. She had a heart of gold. She will always be in the hearts of the many people she touched. She will be deeply missed.

Margy is survived by her husband, Kyle Wood, New Port Richey Florida, parents Candace and Pablo Diaz Lake Mills WI, mother and father in law Lisa and Mark Kell, New Port Richey Florida, grandfather Pablo Diaz, Las Piedras Puerto Rico, sister Olivia Diaz, Milwaukee WI, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Join us at a celebration of Margy's life at the Pyramid Event Venue in Lake Mills on Saturday, June 8 between 3-5. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association.
