Richard Eide Obituary

Cambridge, WI - Richard "Dick" Eide passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on January 6, 1946 to Ardie and Mabel (Finby) Eide. He graduated from Cambridge High School in 1964 and later joined the Navy in 1967. He served on the USS Niagara Falls and was honorably discharged in 1971. Over the years, he worked as a truck driver for Schweiger Industries, Perlman-Rocque, Vasby Farms, and hauled grain for many local farmers. When he retired from Pearlman-Roque in 2009 he had over 1 million accident free miles.

Richard loved spending time with friends and family, mowing the lawn, and playing with his dog.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl, daughter Kristine (Wes) Hinkley, stepsons Scott (Tracy) Johnson, Steve (Holly) Johnson, Jay (Suzi Bourie) Johnson, and Jeff (Stacie) Johnson, nieces and nephew Sara (Bill) Cerar, Matthew (Kristin) Brandt, and Bethany (Michael) Piechowski. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Kayla Krinke, Elizabeth and AJ Johnson, Dalton and Jake Johnson, and Drew and Harper Johnson.

Preceding him in death were his mother and father, sister Judy, and his beloved dog, Sophie.

The family would like to thank Agrace Hospice for their help, especially nurse Melissa Mikkelson for her care and guidance.
