Alice Marie Anderson, age 88 of Fall Creek, joined her Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 6.
She was born on September 30, 1936 in Osseo to the late Henry and Minnie (nee Hammer) Schumacher II.
Alice attended Fall Creek Schools where she played the trombone and graduated in 1954. She married her high school sweetheart, Laverne "Andy" Anderson on July 31, 1954.
In 1967, they moved to Ludington and opened Andy's Cherry Inn. 12 years of colorful stories and lifelong friends originated there and will remain forever in the hearts of many. Alice served and helped many people at Elsie's Café, Sieg's Supper Club, Empire Gas, Fall Creek School Board and Wausau Supply.
She enjoyed a good cup of coffee, good friends, helping others and flowers. Alice, along with her Fall Creek Girls, were lifelong members of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Alice's passion was entertaining and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly.
Alice is survived her children, Linda (Brian) Anderson, Gary (Kathy), Bruce (AnnMarie) and Kevin; grandchildren, Christopher (Lindsey), Todd (Crystal), Jessica (Mike) Peterson, Lindsay, Calli, Wesley (Morgan) Anderson, Kassia (Michael) Kessler, Mesada and Katie Anderson; great-grandchildren, Austin, Emma and Ellie Anderson, Nevaeh and Coltyn Anderson, Marion and Elijah Larson, Kinsley, Hadley and Collyns Kessler; sisters, Shirley Sterbenk and Bev (Gary) Nyseth; brothers-in-law, Dan Winrich and Warren (Phyllis) Anderson; sisters-in-law: Carolyn Sell and Debbie Lane; along with many more relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Andy; sisters, Elaine, Sharon "Sam"; brother, Henry "Hank" Jr.; and brothers-in-law, Roger Sell and Donald Lane.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona from 4–7 p.m. and again on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 721 State St., Fall Creek with Rev Brendan G. Harris officiating. Burial will take place at Trinity Cemetery, Fall Creek.
