Audrey Girard Obituary

Audrey Noreen (Schoettle) Girard passed away on November 16, 2023 at the age of 91, at the home of her daughter and son-in law, Ann and Mike Ball in Titusville, Florida.

Audrey was born in Eau Claire, WI on January 16, 1932, to Muriel and Theodore Edwards. Audrey and Wallace Anthony Schoettle were married for 44 years and raised three daughters and a son. Wally passed away on November 17th, 1994 after a lengthy illness. Six years later she married Joseph Girard and the couple lived in Eau Claire until his passing on 10/27/19. Soon after, Audrey moved to Titusville, FL to live with Ann and Mike.

Audrey was very dedicated to her family and also active with St James Catholic Church through church groups, choir and Eucharistic ministry. She volunteered in the community with the Meals on Wheels program. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and spending weekend time boating with her family on Eau Claire lake. Audrey was adventurous and fulfilled her dreams of traveling internationally when her children were grown.

Audrey is survived by her four children: Lynne (Curt) Johnson; Gayle (Richard Plinsky) Edwards, Ann (Mike) Ball; Scott (Mary) Schoettle and two stepdaughters: Ann Marie( Brian) McNamera, Debbie (Jeff) Heither, 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a private celebration of life. They ask that in lieu of cards/flowers, please consider a donation to Dementiasociety.org.
