Beverly LaBerge Obituary

Beverly Marie LaBerge

October 6, 1936 - September 20, 2025

Beverly Marie LaBerge, 88, of rural Fall Creek, passed away peacefully at her home in the care of her daughter Roxy and a patient with Heartland Hospice on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Beverly was born on October 6, 1936, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Gerhardt "Gay" and Helen (Weiss) Pederson. She was raised in the Eau Claire area and graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1954. She went on to attend Wisconsin State College in Eau Claire, where she graduated in 1956 with a degree in elementary education.

From 1956 to 1957, Beverly taught at Oak Creek School in the Town of Brunswick, and for the next two years at the Gysler School near Fall Creek, Both were one-room country schools serving grades one through eight.

On August 2, 1958, Beverly was united in marriage to Donald LaBerge at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, rural Eleva. Together they raised a family of four boys and two girls. After her youngest child turned eight, Beverly returned to UW–Eau Claire to complete her four-year teaching degree. In the fall of 1978, she began teaching kindergarten in the Fall Creek School District, where she touched the lives of countless students over the next 22 years. She retired in the spring of 1999.

Following Donald's passing in 1988, Beverly lived alone for several years before sharing a home with her daughter, Roxy.

Beverly will be dearly missed by her children: Rick (Beth) LaBerge and Frank (Wanda) LaBerge, both of Elk Mound; Steven (Teresa) LaBerge of Eau Claire; Kevin (Tara) LaBerge of Sherwood; Roxanne "Roxy" LaBerge of Fall Creek; and Suzanne Troestler of Plover. She is further survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sister Annette Pederson of Eleva; two brothers, Larry (Phyllis) Pederson of Eau Claire, and David Pederson of Pittsburgh; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her husband, Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Don Troestler; granddaughter, Tammy (stillborn); and siblings Gale Pederson, Jim Pederson, and Darlene Simon.

Burial will take place at Union Cemetery, rural Eleva.
