It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Jeffrey Strassman, who left us far too soon at the age of 43, on Saturday, August 10, in Winter Park, Colorado.
Born with a deep love for the outdoors, Dan found joy in the beauty of nature, where he spent so much of his time fishing, camping, snowboarding, and biking. Whether gliding down snowy slopes or exploring rugged trails, he embraced life with an adventurous spirit.
Dan was full of warmth and positivity. His sweet, engaging personality and unforgettable smile could light up a room. He had a natural ability to connect with people and made others feel seen and valued. His kindness and genuine love for life touched those who knew him.
Dan is survived by his parents, Jeff and Kitty of Eleva, WI; his brother, Dave (Kristine) of Sarona, WI; his nieces, Aryonna and Kate and nephew, Caleb; his paternal grandfather, Steve of Eau Claire, WI; aunts and uncles, Kris, Jerry, Pat, Terri, John, Gigi, Claudia, Doug, Margie, Matt, Sheila, Pam, Becky and Kerry; many cousins and countless friends in both Wisconsin and Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Jeanne Strassman; maternal grandparents, Leroy Kage, Gretchen and Matthew Craemer; aunt and uncles, Gretch and Keith Easton and Andy Kage.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the wild places he enjoyed.
