Ella Rachel "Rachel" Sillars age 44, of Durand, WI, passed away after a long battle with kidney disease, on Wednesday, April 3 at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, surrounded by family.
She was born August 1, 1979, in Washington, D.C. to Margret Frances Kothmann and Walter Anthony Sillars. She grew up in the Menomonie, WI area and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1996.
Rachel had no children of her own but played a vital role in the raising of her nieces and nephews as a caregiver.
Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, and her aunts Ellen Dimberg and Jeanne Schreiner. She is survived by her brother Ethan Sillars, sister Jessaca Feaster, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Rachel is scheduled for June 1 at 2 pm, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Menomonie, WI, with Pastor Kathleen Remund leading.
Guest are requested to wear pink in honor of Rachel.
