James D. BaDour, age 96, died October 1 in Eau Claire.
James was born August 9, 1928 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire to Joseph and Anne (Smith) BaDour. He graduated from Eau Claire High School. James entered the Coast Guard in August 1945 and was honorably discharged in April 1948 as a Radioman 2/c after serving in the central and western Pacific. He retired from Honeywell as a toolmaker in Minneapolis.
Jim loved golfing and was proud of his three aces on the sixth hole at Mill Run Golf course. He was a fan of the Packers and Brewers.
He is survived by his second wife, Juanita Prisel Kremer; sons, James, Jr. (Denise) and Keith (Luann); daughter, Mary Beth; granddaughter, Brittany; brother, John (Christine); sister-in-law, Doreen; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 59 years, Arlene Duss BaDour; daughter, Nancy; brothers, Gerald (Treva) and Thomas, also, brothers Joseph Anthony and Eugene Jerome in infancy; sister, Joanne (Robert) Poppe; sisters-in-law, Donna (Gerald) and Susan (John).
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Altoona. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the start of mass. Burial will follow at St Patrick's Cemetery in Eau Claire.
