Jeanne Marie McCann, of Woodbury, Minnesota, passed away on May 24, 2026, at the age of 76.
Born on September 1, 1949, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Jeanne grew up surrounded by her loving parents, Darrell and Rita Goulet, and a close-knit extended family. She carried those values of love and connection throughout her life. Jeanne married Mark McCann, and together they raised two daughters, Lisa and Laurie, creating a home filled with fun and cherished traditions.
Jeanne retired in 2015 after a dedicated 20-year career as Office Manager at Frattalone Paving in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her meticulous nature made her exceptional iat accounts and bookkeeping. Outside of work, Jeanne was a devoted friend and neighbor who enjoyed book club, cabin trips with friends, and sharing a glass of wine on her cul-de-sac.
A creative spirit with a love for family traditions, Jeanne leaves behind a legacy of thoughtful gestures that will be lovingly remembered. Sundays at Grandma's for fried bread and coffee, Easter pajamas, and fresh flowers by the bedside were just a few of the thoughtful legacies she leaves behind. She was a cook and baker with a passion for gardening and creating beautiful spaces. Her home was always an inviting place where everyone felt welcome.
Jeanne took great joy in supporting her daughters' and grandsons' activities, attending events with pride and enthusiasm. Her laughter was contagious, her kindness boundless, and her memory will be celebrated for all our days.
Preceded in death by her parents, Jeanne is survived by her daughters Lisa Newmark (Eric) and Laurie Crowell (Britt); grandsons Ben Crowell and Connor Crowell; sisters Karen Schwenk and Mary Ellen Winrich (Don); sister-in-law Brenda Halverson (Greg); and many dear friends.
Plans for a celebration of Jeanne's life later this summer will be announced.
