Joann Blaeser Obituary

Joann Blaeser

July 26, 1944 - July 4, 2025

"I am your Creator. You were in my care even before you were born." Isaiah 44:2

Joann Adele Blaeser was born on July 26,1944, in Eau Claire, WI, to Robert and Adele Running Sr. She was baptized on September 14,1944.

Joann trusted in Jesus for all of her earthly needs. And because she confessed with her mouth that "Jesus is Lord" and believed in her heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9), Jesus came and took her unto himself (John 14:3), in the early morning hours of July 4th. We grieve, but as a people with hope!

Joann attended Sam Davey Elementary, Central Jr. High and was a graduate of Memorial High School, class of 1962. On November 16,1963, Joann and Dennis O. Blaeser were married and they had 2 children.

Joann is survived by her husband, Dennis (who misses her sparkly brown eyes), son, Corey (Donna Loken), daughter, Jodeen (Steven) Flaten, all of Eau Claire. Grandson, Tucker (Chandler) Flaten, great-grandson, Sheppard, and great-grandbaby #2 arriving any day, of Moscow, ID. Grandson, Samuel (Bridget) Flaten and great-grandson, due in November, of Eau Claire. She is also survived by her sister Jean, of Eau Claire, who was her trusted boon companion throughout their entire lives. Her sister-in-law, Carol Blaeser-Riemer, three nieces and two nephews also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert Jr., and Jon Henry, in-laws, Bernard and Beverly Blaeser and brother-in-law, David Blaeser.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, from 3-6 p.m. A worship service to celebrate her life in Christ will be Wednesday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Both events will take place at Saving Grace Lutheran Church, 3735 Jeffers Road, Eau Claire, with Pastor David Irgens officiating.
