Kaye Kathleen Davie, age 78, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7 at Heritage Court in Eau Claire.
Kaye was born on January 4, 1945 in Mondovi, WI to the late G. Emory Davie and Melita (Schultz) Davie. She graduated from Mondovi High School in 1963.
Following high school, she attended Luther Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1967. Kaye enjoyed a wonderful, rewarding career as an RN for 44 years. She worked at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire and Midelfort Clinic in Eau Claire. Kaye retired in 2008 after touching countless patients' lives. Kaye enjoyed many volunteer activities including; volunteering for the State Regional Arts Theatre, The Chippewa Valley Free Clinic, and Lake Street United Methodist Church.
Kaye is survived by extended family; Bill and Sandy Hart, Larry and Jeanne Anderson, Scott and Lisa Kees and family, Kirk and April Risen and family, Scott and Robin Anderson and family, Jeremy and Laura Laehn and family, Greg and Patty Chambers and family, Brian and Kathy Rhyner and family. She is also survived by special friends; David and Mary Larson, Adam and Katie Wehling and family, John and Deb Woodford, and Melvin Smith, and cousins, Mary Merritt and Fred Davie. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, G. Emory and Melita Davie; extended family, LaVerne and Josie Anderson; and special friends, Alice Emerson, Otis and Winnie Fossum, and Betty Smith.
Memorials are preferred to either Lake Street United Methodist Church or Mayo Clinic Health Care Systems.
A funeral service for Kaye will be held on Friday, November 17 at 11 a.m. at Lake Street United Methodist Church, 337 Lake Street, Eau Claire, with
Reverend Jerry Morris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Gilmanton Cemetery. Dearest Kaye. I was your neighbor and didn't know you well. But I'm so amazed by your 44 years of service in nursing. I am sure that many, many people were Blessed by your presence and care. I hope that your passing was peaceful and wherever you are now, those Blessings return to you 100 fold.

I know Kate through her work with Dr Maierhofer. She kept in touch with me after he died and it meant so much to his whole family. My sympathy to her dear friends..
