Lori Lynn Goulet, 58, of Eau Claire, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 10, due to complications from a pulmonary embolism.
Lori graduated from North High School, married Tony Goulet (her high school sweetheart) and later divorced. She worked at Cray Research for 17 years and had been working for Nestle since 2006.
Lori is survived by her niece, Cheyanne Glenz (Jeff); nephew, Chris Glenz (Julia); her second mom, Carol Sue Olson; and her extended family; her best friend and partner, Harry Fleig; sister-in-law, Carrie Ruff (Dan); aunts and uncles, Becky & Dan Hilson, Tim & Jody Weiss; cousins, Tammy (Corey) Sivertson, Mark Hilson, Chad Young, Terry Douglas, Mike Douglas; as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by too many to mention, but most importantly, her parents; and her brother, Scott.
Lori loved entertaining family and friends, surprising others with special treats and always had an open door. Lori loved day trips with her boyfriend, Harry, and discovering new places, trying new food and meeting new people.
It was Lori's wish to advise you that life is short. Life is amazing and she felt her life was perfect. Her words were, "I leave this world longing for nothing and being grateful for every memory that I have made." As her favorite artist (Ozzy Ozbourne) said, "I'll see you on the other side! Be at peace my loved ones, as I'll be the angel watching over you until the end of time."
Memorial services for Lori will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, November 20 at Chippewa Valley Cremation Services - Celebration of Life Center in Altoona with Pastor Mary Erickson officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and go until time of service. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Celebration of Life Center. Burial will be private at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Eau Claire.
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be used for a permanent memorial for Lori.
