Melody Ann Erickson, 76, of Eau Claire, peacefully passed away Thursday, February 8 at Dove Healthcare - West.
Melody "Jo" was born to Victor and Pauline (Jones) Fischer on January 19, 1948, in Appleton, WI. Jo married her loving husband, Gerry, and spent 56 wonderful years together, while raising their two sons. They enjoyed traveling and lived in five states. She was very talented with crocheting, knitting and her crafts. She was a great cook and baker and loved to garden. Jo was always willing to share. Jo loved The Lord and her heart's desire was to bring glory to her Savior. She wanted everyone to believe that Jesus Christ died for them and ask God for forgiveness.
Jo is survived by her sons, Richard "Rich" (Julie) Erickson and William "Bill" Erickson; precious granddaughter, Faith Erickson; brother, Wayne (Pat) Fischer; brother-in-law, William "Butch" (Elaine) Erickson; and so many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerry and her parents.
The family wanted to especially thank the teams and staff at Mayo Hospice and Dove Healthcare - West for all their loving care shown to Jo and her loved ones.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17 at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Eau Claire. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the funeral service at Prairie View Cemetery in Lake Hallie. Condolences may be left online at smithfuneralec.com.

We sure had some wonderful memories starting as kids! We married best friends Gerry & Bill. You were one of my dearest friends, now God & Gerry along with many you loved are waiting to welcome you Home! Please give them all a hug from me!
