Patsy Peterson Obituary

Patsy Peterson

September 29, 1954 - January 1, 2026

Patsy Ann Peterson, daughter of Reinhold "Rem" and Leona (Kuehn) Lane, was born on September 29, 1955. Raised in rural Augusta, she attended Scotts Valley Country School and graduated from Augusta High School in 1973. Patsy was baptized at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Bears Grass and later confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta.

A devoted soul, Patty spent many years working as the Activity Director at the Augusta Area Nursing Home, later known as Augusta Health and Rehabilitation. In this role, she dedicated herself to enriching the lives of the residents through daily activities, personal attention, and genuine compassion. Her kindness resonated deeply, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives until her retirement.

On October 8, 1994, Patty was united in marriage to Randy Peterson. Together, they shared six children, a Brady bunch of sorts. They were the love of each other's lives, and Randy will dearly miss his beloved wife and best friend of 31 years. Patsy was a loving and nurturing mother, whose greatest joy came from watching her family enjoy their time together. She was always behind a camera, capturing treasured moments. This love extended wholeheartedly to her grandchildren, who she adored, and filled her life with so much happiness.

Patsy had a special affinity for flowers of all kinds, animals (especially cats) and soaking in the warmth of the sunshine. These simple pleasures reflected her vibrant spirit and love for life. A true angel on earth, she touched the hearts of all who knew her, spreading warmth and kindness wherever she went. Her family, friends, and community will feel her absence deeply, as she was a guiding light in their lives.

She is survived by her husband, Randy; their 6 children: Andy Peterson of Osseo, April (Corey) Bauch of Eau Claire, Jay Klingbeil of Augusta, Adam Klingbeil (Beca) of Madison, Jordan (Kasey) Klingbeil of Stanley and Rosie Peterson (Jake) of Eau Claire; three sisters, Virginia (Martin) Abley of Foster, Carol Bien of Eleva, and Bonnie (Bill) Brown of Augusta, along with her cherished grandchildren (Maelee, Jayson, Madelyn, Stella, Cyrus, Jax and Lucy), nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great many dear friends.

Patsy was preceded in death by her father Rem in 1988; mother Leona in 1995; brother Kenny in 2002 and his wife Jan in 2022; brother-in-law Lyle Bien; and Randy's parents, Pete and Janet Peterson.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Augusta, with Pastor Jonathan Wessel officiating. A celebration of Patsy's life will follow from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Augusta Lions Hall. The family is assisted by Anderson Funeral Home of Augusta.

Patty will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
