Paul Girolamo Obituary
Paul A. Girolamo, age, 66 of Menomonie, WI, passed away August 8 after a long battle with cancer.
He was born August 18, 1957 in Beloit, WI to Thomas Sr. and Mary (Hodson) Girolamo. He grew up in the Beloit area and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School.
Paul married Susan Peterson October 4, 1980 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, WI. They raised their two children in Clinton, WI. They eventually moved back to Menomonie in 2014. Paul enjoyed skiing, biking, camping, photography, and being the ultimate Mr. Fix-it.
Paul is survived by his wife, Susan, of Menomonie; two daughters, Marissa Pennoyer of Winona, MN and Christine (Adam) Nehls of Menomonie. He is also survived by one grandchild, Matthew Pennoyer of Winona, MN; his siblings, Thomas Jr. (Kathy) Girolamo of Stevens Point, WI, Jean (Bill) Bosenbecker of Oconomowoc, WI, and Ann Stopyro (Bruce Pervin) of Rochester, MN.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sr. and Mary Girolamo; and brother, Peter Girolamo.
Paul loved working. He was proud of being a UW Stout alum. He took all of his careers from engineering to teaching very seriously and worked very hard.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Mayo Doctors, Hospice Team, and family for their care and support.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 15 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Heather Wigdahl officiating. Friends and family are invited to visit one hour prior to the service. Lunch will follow the service.
