Scott Gardner Obituary

Scott Gardner

December 1, 1953 - June 15, 2025

Scott Alexander Gardner, age 71, of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin (formerly Eau Claire), passed away peacefully on Father's Day, June 15th, 2025, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Scott lived a full and meaningful life rooted in his deep family love and a genuine connection with everyone who crossed his path.

Born on December 1st, 1953, in Rochester, Minnesota, Scott was raised with a deep respect for those who came before him. Scott's early life in Owen, Wisconsin laid the foundation for his strong work ethic, and channeled his passion for building into a successful career. He was the proud owner of Gardner Construction, where his reputation as a self-employed building contractor was built on the values of hard work, integrity, and quality craftsmanship. His skills and generosity built more than homes; they built lasting relationships across his community.

Scott was a devoted father and family man. He is survived by his wife, Anna Gardner; daughters, Jaye Scheid (Adam) and Jessie Gardner-Gallagher (Ryan); sister, Georganne Gardner; brother, Mike Gardner (Phyllis); and several beloved nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends who shared in decades of stories, laughter, and loyal friendship. Scott was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Gardner, and his sister, Kate Pimblett.

Scott's happiest moments were often spent outdoors: fishing, hunting, camping, or relaxing at the cabin. Scott took great pride in home renovations, transforming spaces with his skilled hands and creative vision. His life was full of projects, adventures such as road trips, and time shared with the people and pets he loved most.

He was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and generosity. Scott would lend a helping hand to his friends and family whenever it was needed. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Strong-willed, authentic, and loyal, Scott never did anything halfway.

Scott's life was defined by sincere dedication to the people he loved, hard work, and laughter. While he will be greatly missed, his warm presence will continue to be felt in the lives he touched. As we say goodbye, we remember not just the remarkable man he was, but the genuine impact he had on everyone around him.
