Steven Mickelson Obituary

Dr. Steven Allen Mickelson, 73, of Fall Creek, passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2025, surrounded by family. He had been in hospice care following a cardiac arrest while biking on May 14.

Born May 23, 1952, in Eau Claire, Steve graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic and, alongside his wife, Dr. Cynthia Mickelson, served the Fall Creek community through their shared chiropractic practice for 39 years. He was active in many areas of service and ministry, including Faith Evangelical Free Church, the Lions Club, Meals on Wheels, and Community Cupboard.

An Ironman triathlete, guitarist, pilot, and software developer, Steve's greatest joy was his faith in Jesus Christ and his love for God's Word.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy; children Dr. Heather Dona, Todd Mickelson, Kayleen Richardson, and Lindsey Mickelson; sisters Dr. Linda Seim and Dr. Pamela Stucky LaGuardia; and ten grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. at Faith Evangelical Free Church, Fall Creek, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. Refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fall Creek Community Cupboard.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.cremationsociety-wi.com.
