Alexander (Bub) W. Boyer III, 51, went to be with the lord on Friday, April 22, 2022, after his courageous battle with brain cancer.
He died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family.
The world has lost a wonderful husband, father, son, Pappy/Pop Pop, brother, uncle, nephew and a best friend to many.
He was born July 23, 1970, to the late Alexander "Pete" Boyer Jr. and C. Marie (Kaufman) Boyer in Clarion, Pa.
He was a kind and loving husband to his wife of 22 years, Angie, as well as an amazing father to their kids Kayla (Shawn) Reesman, Megan (Bryce) Carlson, Chelsea Boyer (Patrick Febinger), Alex IV(Jenna) Boyer, Dylan, Lynea and Lyndon Boyer.
Bub's legacy will also live on for generations to come through their beautiful grandchildren: Delaini Boyer, Ava Carlson, Alexander V (Xan), Waylon and Kendall (due to be born in a few days on May 4th) Boyer, Vanessa and Wesley Reesman.
He also had an endearing relationship with their three dogs: Trigger, Rocky and Zeke, who looked forward to sharing breakfast with Bub every morning.
Anyone who ever spent time with him often heard him say "Don't take any wooden nickels" and "Love is in the air".
Bub gained much respect from the community and was very proud to run his business: Boyer's Backhoe and Dozer Service.
No one could dig like him.
He also made life-long friendships while working at PennDOT for many years within Armstrong County.
He is survived by his wife Angie; seven children; seven grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie (Steve) Fulton, and kids: Mark (Liz) Boyer & kids, Bryanne (Mike) Hockenberry & kids, Nichole (Milton) Moronta & kids, Brandon Fulton; Father and Mother In Law: Joe (Helen) Saxfield; brother and sister in laws: Scott (Shelley) Drummond & kids, Lee (Serena) Shoemaker & kids, Shelly Saxfield, Dave (Sarah) Baker & daughter, Rick (Heather) Shotts & kids, Joe Saxfield & kids, Lora Saxfield, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He was also preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents: Alexander "Mike" Sr. & Bernice Boyer, Floyd & Clara Della (Reefer) Kaufman.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Dayton United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the church with Pastor Scott Rising, officiating.
Burial will take place in the McCreas Furnace Cemetery.
