Donald Schrecengost Obituary

Donald R. Schrecengost Kittanning Donald R. Schrecengost, 78, of Kittanning, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 14, 1934, in Wayne Township, a son of the late Peter Sloan Schrecengost and Daisy E. (Rearick) Schrecengost. Donald was a retired welder at Daman Industries and a member of Kittanning Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, gardening, wood cutting and working in his garage. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, E. Louise (Brumbaugh) Schrecengost; son, Timothy (Jenny) Schrecengost, of Kittanning; daughter, Sandra (James) Gallaher, of Kittanning; granddaughter, Angela Claypoole; grandson, Brian Gallaher; great-granddaughter, Morgan Hrabczuk; great-grandson, Aden Claypoole; and brother, Robert Schrecengost, of Irwin. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a granddaughter; three grandsons; brothers, Merle, Bernard, Lyle and Dale Schrecengost; and two sisters, Mrs. George (Veda) Montgomery and Mrs. James (Betty) Montgomery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday the Rev. Dr. Wayne Sawyer officiating.
