Elmer C. Anthony, 91, of Kittanning, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2021.

He was born May 8, 1930, in New Bethlehem, Pa., to Melvin Anthony and Pauline Reedy Anthony.

Elmer was a retired mine foreman from R&P Coal Co. A U.S. Army Korean War veteran, he was in the Occupation of Japan. A member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, he was a pirohi worker at the church. Elmer enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He would help anybody in need.

Survivors include sons, Ronald C. and Tanya Anthony, of Indiana and David Anthony, of Kittanning; grandchildren: Joe, Tara and Anngye; five great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; and brother, Melvin and Patricia Anthony, of Kittanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Geraldine Temsik Anthony; daughter, Debora Curry, who passed away April 18, 1985; daughter-in-law, Denise Anthony; grandson, Jesse; sister, Fern Herbst; and brothers, Ben and Richard.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at the Mantini Funeral Home Inc., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City.

A Funeral of Divine Liturgy at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 514 Ninth St., Ford City, with Father John Gribik officiating.
