Gary S. Wood, 83, of Elderton, went to be with the Lord, March 31, 2022.
He was born on Aug. 1, 1938, and the son of the late Seibert and Rosealene D. (Boyer) Wood.
Gary is a graduate from Elderton High School and retired from Penn United Technologies, Inc.
He was a member of the NRA and an avid Republican.
He loved hunting and working in his wood shop.
Gary is survived by his brother Larry (Sandy) Wood of Shelocta; daughter in-law Rochelle (Steve) Wood Burns of Ford City; five grandchildren: Paige Wood, of Florida, Taylor Wood, of Ford City, Spencer Wood, of Ford City, Logan Burns, of Ford City, and Olyvia Burns, of Ford City.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Wood; two sons: Erin and Dustin Wood; and a grandson, Mason Wood.
A celebration of life will take place at a later time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Janette L. Gamble Funeral Home, Inc., 2842 River Road, Vandergrift, PA 15690.
