Grace (Grey) Trudgen, 90, of Kittanning, Pa., passed away on Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, at Premier Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Kittanning, Pa.
She was born on July 17, 1931, in Rural Valley, Pa., to Kenneth W. Grey, Sr. and Myrtle (Craft) Grey.
A 1949 graduate of Kittanning High School, Grace worked as a self-employed hair dresser for many years. She then worked as a bookkeeper at the Family Counseling Center until her retirement in 1990. She served as President and Vice-President of the Family Counseling Center Board for many years and attended the First United Methodist Church of Kittanning. Grace enjoyed traveling with her husband and children and going on cruises, but her true passion was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons: Larry Trudgen and wife, Carol, of Kittanning, the Rev. Terry Trudgen and wife, Judy, of Vandergrift, Pa., and Daniel Trudgen and wife, Dancene, of Haines City, Fla.; daughter, Darlene Welsh, of Grand Junction, Colo.; grandchildren: Michael Trudgen and Crissy, Brian Trudgen and wife, Tiffany, Jennifer Lichtenfels and husband, Chad, Cory Trudgen and Amy, Aaron Trudgen and wife, Jessica, Christopher Welsh and wife, Christine, Matthew Trudgen and wife, Emily, Kevin Welsh and wife, Gabrielle, Logan Trudgen and Brittany and Kayla Schulze and husband, Kyle; great-grandchildren: Alex Lichtenfels, Benjamin Trudgen, Cole Lichtenfels, Madison Trudgen, Zachary Trudgen, Austin Trudgen, Gabriel Lichtenfels, Parker Trudgen, Khloe Welsh, Ava Welsh, Riley Trudgen, Kallie Welsh and Aiden Welsh; and her siblings: Geraldine Schawl and husband, Blair, of Templeton, Kenneth W. Grey, Jr. and wife, Alita, of Kittanning and Lorraine Finlan and husband, Tom, of Clarion.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Dale Trudgen, whom she married March 2, 1950, and who died Aug. 31, 2015; her sister, Martha Zambotti; and son-in-law, David Welsh.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning, Pa.
Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at the funeral home with her son, the Rev. Terry Trudgen, and the Rev. Deborah Kociban co-officiating.
