Jean Coulter Obituary

Jean Elizabeth Coulter, 78, of Dayton, Pa., died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Scenery Hill Manor, White Township. She was born Sept. 19, 1930, in Lewistown, a daughter of the Rev. James Maurice Leister and Ella (Mutch) Leister. She was a former LPN and employee of Punxsutawney National Bank, Dayton Branch. She was a member of Rural Valley Presbyterian Church. She was a deacon, Sunday School teacher and member of the Presbyterian Women. Surviving is her husband of 58 years, H. Scott Coulter; two daughters, Beverly Cordella, of Hamilton Square, N.J., and Lou Ann Coulter, of Asheboro, N.C.; a son, Dave Coulter, of Dayton, Pa.; two sisters, Mary Leeper, of Rock Hill, S.C., and Corrine Cowden, of Terre Haute, Ind.; and four grandchildren, Scott, Mike, Robert and Hannah. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Leister. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the CARSON/BOYER FUNERAL HOME INC. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rural Valley Presbyterian Church. Burial in Rural Valley Cemetery, Rural Valley, PA 16249.
