Margaret Louise Stockdill, 95, of Dayton passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1922, to Thomas M. and Hazel Anna (Boarts) Peters in Burrell Township.
Louise worked as an Erie Insurance agent.
She was a member of Ford Memorial Methodist Church, Ford City, Order of the Eastern Star, and the White Shrine.
Louise is survived by her two sons, James (Donna) Stockdill of Warren and Edward (Linda) Stockdill of Jacksonville, Ore.; daughterin law, Nancy D. Stockdill of Ford City; eight granddaughters, Nancy L. Stockdill, Pamela Warr, Robin Plavi, Sheila Crowell, Michelle DeFalco, Heather Lord, Erin Cox, and Alma Stockdill; five grandsons, Robert Paul Stockdill Jr., James Stockdill, Jake Stockdill, Jose Stockdill, and Alan Stockdill; 23 great- grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Stockdill; two sons, Robert Paul Stockdill and Glenn E. Stockdill; brother, Thomas Peters; and sister, Roberta Moore.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 2, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., 724 W. Main St., Rural Valley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Howard officiating. Burial will take place in the Brick Church Cemetery, Burrell Township. www.carsonboyer.com.
