Marlin "Moe" Shernock, 78, of Ford City, passed away on Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, in ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township.
Born Feb. 26, 1944, in Kittanning, he was the son of the late George and Mildred (Bable) Shernock.
Moe was a lifelong resident of Ford City, and retired from Conrail after 33 years as a conductor and brakeman. He was a member of Marienville Rod and Gun, Forest County Sportsmen and ran several golf leagues for many years at Cabin Greens. Moe was an avid outdoorsman and was well-known for selling raffle tickets for many organizations. Aside from hunting and fishing, he also loved woodworking.
Moe was very involved in his children and grandchildren's lives. He did his best to attend all of their games. He loved his family and loved supporting all of their activities. Moe enjoyed spending time at his camp, entertaining family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ardell and George Shernock; and sister, Gaylene Christie.
Moe is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Pamela (Stanko) Shernock; daughter, Sheila (Mike) Bower, of Ford City; son, Shane (Angie) Shernock, of Mebane, N.C.; grandchildren: Hunter Bower and Mackenzie Pirhalla, Blake Bower and Madison Veri and Sunshine (Colby) Johnson; sisters: Elaine (Mike) Armitage, of Apollo, and Mary Baillie, of Ford City; brother, Robert (Joanne) Shernock, of Ford City; nieces and nephews; and many extended family and great friends.
Per Moe's wishes, all services were private and entrusted to Mantini Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City.
