ALICE MARGARET MCCART Alice Margaret McCart, 77, passed away early Friday morning at Overland Park Regional Hospital. She was born on February 19, 1947, in Leavenworth, Kan., the daughter of Kenneth and Margaret (Mills) McCart. She married Robert McBride in June 1969 and had three children before they divorced: Elizabeth, Mark, and Maggie. She earned multiple degrees during her lifetime. By the end of her career, she became one of the nation's leading experts in healthcare-related privacy law. She enjoyed cooking, running, sewing, knitting, and sharing vegan recipes. She loved to talk to nearly everyone about nearly everything. She is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandson. A celebration of life will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee St, Leavenworth, KS 66048, on Friday, May 3, from 4 - 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to American Diabetes Association.
