Susie Parmer was a mentor, of mine. I had just turned 21 when I was elected to the ROD´s office of my county, she and her good friend Sue, took me under their wing. They taught me so much about not only the laws governing our office, but how to navigate county politics. We attended yearly seminars, state and National meetings, together, where we worked hard to make the KS. R.O.D. Assn. a vehicle to bring better changes for our constituents, from the legislature. Susie always had a sparkle in her eye, a big smile and a great laugh! Although it was always for work, we had so many great times as friends! My thoughts and prayers to the family!
