Timothy "Tim" James Ruby, 64, passed away on February 7, 2026, in Leavenworth, KS.

Tim was born on August 6, 1961, in Iowa City, IA, to Ralph and Norma Ruby. He grew up alongside his sisters, Teresa and Amy, and graduated from Immaculata High School in 1980.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Tim-known to many who worked alongside him as "Rube"-began his career with Studdard Moving & Storage in the summer of 1979. His commitment to his work and the people around him spanned more than four decades, continuing faithfully until the day he passed. Rube was known for his calm demeanor and his quick-witted remarks. No matter how busy or challenging the day became, he never failed to make the workday enjoyable. His steady presence, humor, and genuine kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph James Ruby and Norma Jean Ruby.

He is survived by his companion, Linda Surber; his sons, Christopher (Nicole) Ruby and Nicholas Ruby; and his grandsons, Anderson and Brighton Ruby, who brought him joy. He is also survived by his sisters, Teresa (James) Stewart and Amy (Dan) Williams, along with three nieces and one nephew, and one great niece.

Tim "Rube" will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, love for NASCAR, and loyalty to those he loved.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Leavenworth Interfaith Community of Hope.

Celebration of life will be held on March 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth, KS. Burial will be held at Mount Calvarly Cemetery on Monday March 9, 2026 at 2 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel.
