Columbus, GA- Mr. Alvin Williams Sr., 49, Columbus, GA passed Thursday, March 22, 2018.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, March 31, 2018 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. K.L. Jelks officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, March 30, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Williams was born November 23, 1968 in Hurtsboro, AL to Mary Grant Williams and the late Charlie Bates. He was employed with C & C Masonry.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Grant Williams; two sons, Alvin "A.J." Williams and Shaheem Williams both of Columbus, GA; Fiance, Gloria Ford of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Cheryl (Bruce) Williams of Columbus, GA, Clara Wimberly and Earnestine Richardson ; four brothers, Freddie (Fabia) Ivey and Robert Ivey both of Columbus, GA, Wayne (Angela) Williams of Ellerslie, GA and Jeffery Williams of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren, Keonte Alexander, Xavion Alexander, and A'mir Williams all of Columbus, GA and a host of other relatives and friends.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. There is little that I can say or do to ease your pain and suffering. May knowing that you are in the thoughts and prayers of many, bring a measure of comfort. Life is so short and those we love are gone from our lives too quickly. God's promise to empty the grave soon is found at Hosea 13:14, may the God of loyal love comfort you during your time of sorrow.
