Columbus, GA- Annette Jackson Tolbert of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House. A native of Omaha, GA and the daughter of the late Charlie B. and Ludie Jackson-Billingsley, Annette was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and its Choir, Usher, Pastor Aid and Hospitality Ministries. She retired from Cosmyl, Inc. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Tolbert and a sister, Joan Dunlap.
Surviving are four children, William "Greg" Jackson(Pat), Martina Baggs(James), Carolyn Perez and Monica Stone(Gary); six grandchildren, Alesia Jackson, O'Shea Evans, Philip Perez, Daylen Stone, Landris Baggs and Donovan Stone; a great granddaughter, Jacinda Mills; eight siblings, McKendrick Jackson(Ruby), Benjamin Jackson(Rose), Charlie Jackson, Lovey Powell, Naomi Myers, Labrit Jackson(Marjorie), Chester Jackson(Phelecia) and Louise Dianna Warren(John); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Tolbert will be laid to rest at Main Post Cemetery, Ft. Benning, GA on Monday, February 24, 2014 after a 11:30 A.M. Homegoing Celebration at the Chapel of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Marcus Hunter. Visitation is 1:00-3:00 P.M. today at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Progressive Funeral Home, Inc "A Touch Of Dignity For Those Who Care"

Family, be strong, stay strong, because she is with the Lord and with family members. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She like to joke but she also had a serious side. I like them both. She was sassy and classy. It really hurt me because I did not know she was sick. Family, stay strong because God is in charge!

Cousin Annette, I miss the wisdom you shared during our conversations, and I will always remember you and the blessed laughter we had together.
