Columbus, GA- Barbara Cook Spivey, 75, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at her home.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Parkhill Cemetery 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Larry Davis officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Spivey was born October 25, 1942 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Cecil Bradley Cook and Hazel Barbara Lou Robinson Cook. She worked for 36 years at both Eastway and Rothschild Middle School as a Cafeteria Manager. She was such a great cook often times the Board Members and school staff made special trips just to eat in her cafeteria. Mrs. Spivey was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. Spivey.
Survivors include her daughter, Crystal Cunningham and her fiancé, Wayne Tucker, son, Dee Spivey and his wife, Kristy Spivey all of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Rachel Spivey, Bryant Freeman, Kelton Freeman and Kelby Cunningham, 3 great grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law, Barbara and Linda and cousin, Ennon.
