Pittsview, AL- Ms. Barbara Ann Upshaw, 55, of 43 Lewis Grocery Road, Piitsview, AL passed Thursday, December 29, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Benevolent Grove Baptist Church, Pittsview, AL with Rev. Robert Buckner, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no public viewing according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Ms. Upshaw was born July 26, 1961 in Pittsview, AL to the late Nathan Browder, Jr. and the late Carrie Pearl Upshaw. She was a member of Benelovent Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Norman Cooper, Jr. of Pittsview, AL; three children, Demetrick Upshaw and Norman (RaSheka) Upshaw both of Phenix City, AL; Travis Upshaw of Pittsview, AL; two brothers, Lee Nathan (Christine) Upshaw of Hurtsboro, AL; Larry (Jennifer) Upshaw of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Katherine Brown and Shirleen (Willie) Upshaw both of Pittsview, AL; Tracey Williams of Phenix City, AL and a host of other relatives and friends.

Growing up we were always together, from 1st grade through 12th. Today reminds me of a time she left me behind. She accepted Christ into her life before I did, but as I remember her these past few days it makes it all better that she gave her life to Christ. I'll remember you always.
