Phenix City, AL- Sgt. Daniel V. Davis, 30, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013 in Phenix City, Alabama.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am EST Friday, November 15, 2013 at Golden Acres Baptist Church located at 3405 South Railroad Street Phenix City, AL, with Rev. Mike Toomey officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery with full police honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-9:00pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel 3738 U.S Highway 431 North Phenix City, AL.
Daniel was born in Phenix City, Alabama the son of Patricia Davis-Roberson. Daniel's passion in life was to serve others and he accomplished this by joining the Phenix City Police Department in 2005. Daniel served in many capacities as an officer to include Patrolman, Special Response Team, Field Training Officer, P.A.I.N. unit, and currently as a Sergeant Investigator. Daniel was a loving, devoted father who loved spending time with his children, and they were the light in his life.
In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by one daughter Alyssa Rebecca Davis, one son Jackson Daniel Davis, one sister Constance Cruse and husband Daniel, step-father Timothy Roberson, maternal grandparents Rose and Verl Fleenor,and numerous other relatives and friends.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Daniel Davis. We met him through the purchase of our former home and were genuinely impressed by his character, maturity and devotion to his family and career. Our community has lost a fine citizen and law enforcement officer. Our prayers are with his children and family.

Daniel was a good dad and we enjoyed knowing and spending time with him over the years. He is going to be missed by so many people whose life he has touched. We will honor him by sharing some great stories and memories with Alyssa and Jackson as they grow into fine adults because of Rachael and Daniel's influence.
