Seale, AL- Mr. David "Maine" Allen, Jr. 73, of 4818 Old Seale Highway, Seale, AL passed Sunday, May 20, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Coolspring Baptist Church, Pittsview, AL with Rev. Samuel Davis, pastor and Rev. Erbie Crowell, eulogist. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Mr. Allen was born March 5, 1939 in Pittsview, AL to Alice Allen and the late Conyer Allen. He retired after 40 years with Columbus Foundry.
His survivors include his mother, Alice Allen of Phenix City, AL; two sons, Ricky Lee (Terri) Allen and Tyrone Allen both of Phenix City, AL; five daughters, Mary Alice (Forrest) Robinson of Ft. Mitchell, AL; Joann (Joseph) Robinson of Phenix City, AL; Earlene Glenn Humphries, Linda Ann Allen and Monica Denise (Larry) Brewer all of Columbus, GA; five brothers, David Allen of Columbus, GA, Eddie (Mary) Allen, John Otis (Janice) Allen, Willie James (Barbara) Allen and Freddie James (Delois) Allen all of Phenix City, AL; five sisters, Willie Pearl Hill of Atlanta, GA; Mary Todd of Detroit, MI; Rosie (Sammie) Johnson, Gertha Allen and Diane (Rev. Erbie) Crowell all of Phenix City, AL; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
