Deacon David "Jack" Goshay October 29, 1939- February 5, 2007 PHENIX CITY, AL— Deacon David "Jack" Goshay, 67, of 1209 Lonesome Pine Road, Phenix City, AL. died February 5, 2007 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Ft. Mitchell, AL. with Pastor Samuel Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Stephens Cemetery. Visitation is today from 1 until 8 p.m., according to Taylor Funeral Home. Deacon Goshay was born October 29, 1939 in Russell County, AL., son of the late Clara Bell Goshay and Tommie Lee Goshay. He was retired from Dolly Madison Bakery, was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Ft. Mitchell, AL. and served on the Deacon and Usher Board. He is survived by a loving and devoted wife, Juliette Goshay, Phenix City, AL.; two sons, Reginald (Aretha) Goshay, Phenix City, AL. and Darrell Goshay, Montgomery, AL.; one daughter, Julia Taray Goshay, Phenix City, AL.; two brothers, Henry (Rosie) Goshay, Phenix City, AL. and James (Gerry) Goshay, Chicago, IL.; one sister, Clara Pearl Miller, Phenix City, AL.; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Pippas, and the staff at John Amos Cancer Center, Columbus Hospice, Keisha Simmons, Jason Cail, Latresha Johnson.
