I was blessed to know the Gilmore family through family members as well as being a friend/classmate with Oliver. When we visited the family, Ms Gilmore was always open and kind to us (family and as Oliver's friend). I will always remember the Gilmore family. With much love, Laverne (Holston) Blount (Tuskegee alumni)

Mrs. Gilmore was one of the most genuine, sweet spirited people I have ever known not to mention a wonderful teacher. She taught both of my children, Todd (who went to be with the Lord on Dec.1) and Renee'. We loved her and always felt she loved us. You were blessed to have known her as were we. I pray the Lord will comfort you as you grieve the loss of this truly special person.

Mrs. Gilmore was my second grade teacher at Waddell Elementary many years ago. She was so sweet and beautiful. I remember her having a gold compact that she would powder her nose from and she would hug the students and call us "little darlings". Her kind spirit will live on in the many lives that she touched. To the family, please accept my condolences.
