Cataula, Georgia - Elsie Pearl Farley, 83, of Cataula, GA passed at her residence on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Funeral Service for Mrs. Farley will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1472 GA Hwy 219 West Point, GA 31833. Interment will be held in the church cemetery and Rev. C. W. Howell will be officiating according to the Charles E. Huff's International Funeral Home, Inc. Viewing will held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home located at 927-5th Avenue, Columbus.
Mrs. Elsie Pearl Farley was born on August 4, 1939 to the late Albert Whitaker and Mary Lay Whitaker in Atlanta, GA. She was a 1957 graduate of Carver High School, Hamilton, GA and later attended Columbus Technical College. Mrs. Farley was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and held membership positions with the Georgia Labor Board, Harris County Civic League, the Carver High School Alumni Association, West Georgia Co-Op and Eastern Stars.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, two daughters; Cheryl Johnson and Pamela Denise Farley; three sons; Randy Lee Farley, Freddie Roger Farley (Melanie) and Rickey Dewayne Farley (Rosita); one sister, Carrie Riley (Dilbert); 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of many other relatives and friends.
