I really enjoyed being a friend with Fred, he always had a way to make you smile reguardless of the situation you were in, and if you were in the Army it was very common to find yourself in that type moment in Life..I will always feel honored that God blessed me with such a friend and fellow SF brother. Your family will be in my prayers, and I know Fred will be helping to make us feel welcome when we cross over to our permanent RON with him..Dave Wegmann

What sad news. The most upbeat, happy, soldier in the world, moving on to the final rally point. Fred was a friend and a mentor.....what a loss for us. Rest easy, old soldier.....we'll meet again in that celestial RON.

Fred was a dear friend. I am saddened to hear of his passing and so soon after Judy. He loved the military and remained close with Green b
Berets and Rangers in the Eglin AFB area and his rigger unit from the 82d Airborne Division. I will miss him greatly. I would like to know of plans for his memorial service. Rest in Peace Fred!

Fred was a professional Soldier; I worked with him during the 70's and he had the first cell phone that we had ever seen. Always helping others and he will be remembered.

What a wonderful man. Always happy and upbeat. It was a joy to have known him. His family should be very proud of Fred's kindness.

Art and Fred met in basic training for the US Army in Ft. Dix, NJ before either of them were even thinking about getting arrived. How ironic that they both settled in Columbus, Ga...and many beautiful memories through the years. Fred will always been remembered by all of us whose lives he touched. Heartfelt condolences to all of Freds family. Rest In Peace, Fred....

"Old soldiers never die they just fade away".
Fred and I (old soldiers) had a special relationship. I never served with him but I wish I had. I will miss him and his cheerful smile.

Always enjoyed seeing Fred at the dances in Columbus and at the beach. Also, the fun times playing golf when we were in Florida. We will miss him, prayers for the family.

Fred was always a pleasure to be around at reunion functions with Judy. We all loved Scrog & Fred was just a natural extension of her. He just seemed to fit. I'm sure they are shagging away again. R.I.P. Fred

R.I.P., my friend. It was a pleasure to know you as a friend in recent years, and to visit with you and Judy at Blue Water Bay. Will always remember you fondly as my friend.
