George Snyder Obituary

George "Scott" Snyder, Jr. April 16, 1958 - January 13, 2010 PHENIX CITY, AL— George "Scott" Snyder, Jr., 51, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, GA. Funeral services with full military honors will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Leatherwood officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. EST at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, AL. Mr. Snyder was born April 16, 1958 in St. Louis, MO, son of Marsha Herring Snyder and the late George S. Snyder, Sr.  He served his country in the United States Army during Desert Storm and later retired.  Mr. Snyder also worked for many years as the Manager of the Colony Inn Hotel. Other than his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Mann. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Parramore Snyder; his mother, Marsha Herring Snyder of Ft. Worth, TX; step-mother, Harriet Snyder of Lancaster, SC; three daughters, Brandy Stanfill and Brad of Montgomery, AL, Amber Snyder and Ashley Snyder, both of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Marlene Ricks and husband Mike of Ft. Worth, TX; one brother, Kim Snyder of Austin, TX; step-brother, Joe Gregory of New Jersey; five grandchildren, Andrea Stanfill, J. T. Stanfill, Shane, Jacob and Spencer.

Wow, I can't believe; I just heard about his passing. Scott was a super guy. He always talked about his wife and daughters. I knew him through a business level, but I thought he was really, really, nice. Enjoyed working with him. I know that I will miss him and everybdy that knew him will miss hime dearly.
