Columbus, GA- Mrs. Gladys Camille Harrell Ralph of Columbus passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at her home. She was 84 years of age and resided at 2232 Vicky Avenue.
The only daughter of the late William H. and Vivian Gordon Harrell, Mrs. Ralph was born in Sparta, GA on July 6, 1930. She was educated in the Hancock County School System and obtained a degree in Home Economics from Georgia State College (currently Savannah State University). She was a member of St. Mary's Road United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion C. Ralph, Jr. and her son, Marion C. Ralph, III.
Surviving her departure with cherished memories, include: her daughters, Gladys R. Doctrie (James), Barbara R. Rollins (Robert), Ellen Ralph, Tanya R. Stewart (John), Mercedes R. Ward (Steve) and Vivian R. Randolph; sixteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, a brother, Robert L. Harrell (Leona); two sisters-in-law, Ellen R. Davis and Ella R. Robinson; loving nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Ralph will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Road United Methodist Church with interment following in Main Post Cemetery. Pastor Dr. L. K. Pendleton will officiate. Visitation is today, 3 til 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The cortege will depart from the residence at 10:30 the morning of the service. Arrangements entrusted to the staff of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc. "A Touch of Dignity for Those Who Care." Condolences may be expressed online at www.progressivefuneralhome.com

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Ralph's passing. I remember when Ralph & I would hang out back in the high school days at Baker. She was always so nice to me. My deepest sympathy.

I was so sorry to hear of your mother passing. The service today was a beautiful memorial to a wonderful mother. Such a beautiful group of grandchildren and great-grands. I know your mom is looking on and very proud of all of you.
